Talon Lodge
Email campaigns for Talon Lodge & Spa, an all-inclusive fishing lodge in Sitka, Alaska, designed to turn brochure requests into bookings.

01 — Context
Fishing lodge email design that brings guests back to Sitka
Talon Lodge & Spa is an all-inclusive fishing lodge in Sitka, Alaska. Guests book a flight to Sitka and the lodge takes care of the rest. To re-promote the lodge and its packages to past guests as well as new prospects, the team asked us for a few email campaigns. That called for fishing lodge email design with a real sense of place.
The first email starts with a moment that matters: someone has just requested a brochure from the Talon Lodge website. The email that follows has to confirm the request, deliver something to look at right away, and make an Alaska trip feel within reach. We approached it as email design built for one clear action.

02 — Design
This is no ordinary fishing lodge
The emails open on Talon Lodge's gold logo over a dramatic bald eagle carrying a fish, an image that says wild Alaska before a word is read. For a trip people dream about for months, an email should make people feel something first and inform them second. In the main version, an aerial photograph of the lodge's forested island sits beneath, with its dock and the mountains behind. The headline follows in an elegant serif: "You'll soon discover… This is no ordinary fishing lodge." A toll-free number for details and reservations sits directly below.
The letter itself is set in a white panel and personalised with the recipient's first name. It confirms the brochure request, explains that a print brochure is on its way, and offers an eBrochure in the meantime, shown as an open spread with a link to download. Practical notes about all-inclusive packages, Alaska Airlines flights into Sitka and booking upcoming seasons answer the next questions a guest would ask.
A second version drops the island photo and uses a softer slate background, giving the campaign a second, quieter variation. For more campaign emails, see our work for Homes by Dream, and for why visuals like these drive action, read how great design moves people to action.
