Thumbtack
Presentation design for Thumbtack's three-year vision, delivered to its executive leadership team, plus merchandise concepts like branded tape, stickers and signage.

01 — Context
Executive presentation design for a three-year vision
Thumbtack, the platform that connects people with local professionals for their home projects, was preparing an all-hands presentation of its three-year vision for the executive leadership team (ELT). The content was strong, but it needed a designer to polish it and present it in an impactful, powerful way.
We were brought in for the presentation design, working within Thumbtack's existing brand. Our job in this executive presentation design was to take the messaging through to clear information design that supported the language, matched it with visuals and gave the big-picture ideas the emphasis they deserved. An audience of senior leaders has little patience for dense slides, so clarity came first and decoration last. The title slide sets the tone: the Thumbtack wordmark in white over a warmly lit family home at dusk.

02 — The deck and beyond
Typography that amplifies the story
Vision decks succeed when each slide lands one idea. We used large, heavy type and generous space so key lines could be read in a single glance: "Taking care of your home shouldn't be a hassle." "There's been NO manual for home ownership," with the NO underlined in red. A repeated "I've got this." fades down the slide to capture the confidence Thumbtack wants homeowners to feel.
Planning content became information design — roadmap timelines, key changes to planning and structured tables — styled to sit comfortably beside the headline slides. The deck covered Thumbtack's mission and how it could educate its end users.
We also explored potential branded merchandise to support brand recognition: tape, stickers and signage. The tape concept wraps the line "Fix. Maintain. Improve." around a white roll with the shield icon — a fitting object for a home-services brand.
