Transcend Tour

Transcend Tour describes itself as the only invitation-based convention and competition for exceptional, passionate dancers. Attendance is by audition or invitation, class sizes are limited, and the tour runs dance training workshops and competitions in cities across the United States.

It needed a new web presence that felt as high-calibre as the dancers it selects. This dance competition website design had to do two things well: make the tour feel exclusive and exciting, and make it effortless for dancers to find dates, submit an audition or register. We designed a site with a high-class feel and a lot of impactful colour, and the client loved it. It sits alongside our other education and learning work.

The homepage opens with a dancer mid-leap, toned into a deep navy-to-electric-blue gradient, with "Transcend Tour" set in tall, condensed capitals. The angled edge beneath the hero gives the page a sense of motion that echoes the photograph.

The most important information is pulled up into a floating card: 2020 Tour Dates, listing eight stops from Ogden, Utah to Anaheim, California, with a note for the summer intensive. The card ends in two clear actions, Submit Today for new dancers and Register Today for those already invited, so each visitor knows exactly where to go.

Below, Highlights cards explain submission guidelines, classes and the competition, an Our Faculty carousel introduces instructors with their styles, and a blue band invites visitors to join the mailing list. The footer repeats the main navigation, including the mentorship program and live webcast, so nothing is more than one click away.
